The Wind Chaser tells the story of a man whose lover whistles, with her last breath, a melody into the last wind of winter. He spends a year learning the melody, then plays it on the flute at the first wind of the following winter. He turns into smoke and fades away with the wind. He then spends eternity chasing the soul of his lover in the wind, meanwhile, spreading a curse on any town that the wind stops at.
